OGR Members Win in Chicago

The International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR) exhibited at NFDA’s Convention & Expo in Chicago, IL last week, where our staff had the chance to reconnect with members and meet other funeral professionals. OGR’s booth was baseball themed (here’s looking at you, Chicago) and anyone who stopped by got an OGR bat and cracker jacks. We wanted to do a quick recap on all the fun we had, so read below if you’re interested.

First, in case you’re unaware, independently owned funeral homes who are members of OGR promise to abide by a set of ethical standards as they serve families. The men and women at Golden Rule funeral homes lead their businesses with compassion, dignity and the cornerstone philosophy of “Service measured not by gold, but by the Golden Rule” (to do unto others as you would have them do unto you).

OGR has found, that in addition to serving their communities well, funeral service professionals (and OGR members in particular) are outstanding individuals. They’re caring and business savvy, always looking to grow in their knowledge and put families first. They also like to have fun, as exemplified in the photos below.

(Note: OGR staff are in baseball attire. The bat says “Independents”, in honor of our independently owned funeral home members). Thanks to members and nonmembers alike for stopping by and to NFDA for hosting such a great convention.
