Video & Podcast Library

Miss a recent event and want to get caught up? Remember a past webinar or podcast you really loved and want to experience it again? We have just unveiled our new Learning Library - a one-stop shop for OGR webinars, roundtables and podcasts.

You can login with the same username and password you use here at OGR.org. If you have any questions, we've put together a more detailed walk-through of how to use the new library. You can also contact Evan Hoffmeyer at [email protected].

Annual Conference

Mark your calendars! OGR's return to in-person events is coming May 15 - 17 with our annual conference at the Hotel Carmichael in Indianapolis! Details coming soon!

Young Professionals

OGR Young Professionals are members who are not yet in primary decision-making roles at their funeral homes, regardless of age. Whether you're just starting out in funeral service or you've been a funeral director for 20+ years, this group is for you.

OGR is gathering topics and trends that are most relevant to you, from important HR and workplace topics to what is new and now in the industry. OGR is willing to have the tough conversations in order to provide you with the practical advice you need to thrive in 2022. Learn more and register at OGR.org/Webinars.

Veterans Funeral Care Workshop

Do you know how to establish your funeral home as the definitive choice for veterans in your area? This two-part workshop will give you all the tools you need to better serve those who served us, not just on Veterans Day but every day of the year. Finish both classes and you could be eligible to join the VFC Network, which offers even more tools to differentiate yourself from the competition.

Virtual Roundtables

Sometimes the best way to learn is from your peers. While educational webinars are 45-50 minutes of presentation content followed by 10-15 minutes of live Q&A, these member-led roundtable discussions start with a 5-10 minute presentation and then spend the rest of the hour as open discussion. Join us to share your own best practices, tips and ideas - and learn some new tricks from your fellow members that will help you grow your business and better serve your families. All roundtables are recorded, with the recordings housed in OGR’s Learning Library. Learn more and sign up at OGR.org/Virtual-Roundtables.

OGR's newest recurring educational opportunity, the Digital Dialogue Series, is a podcast series with a new season each summer. Learn more about our latest season, "What's Your Edge?," or check out past episodes in the Learning Library.

Study Groups

These events are your chance to swap experiences, materials and best practices that advance funeral homes to the next level of success. Find a list of upcoming events and register at OGR.org/Study-Groups.

Pheasant Hunt

These events are centered around in-person camaraderie among OGR members, like the annual pheasant hunt organized and hosted by Kevin Opsahl of OGR member firm Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home in Yankton, S.D.

Become an OGR Thought Leader

Is one of your 2022 goals to be a thought leader or to share your time and talent with others in the industry? Then OGR can help you check that off your list! We are looking for speakers who:

  • have actionable takeaways people can apply to their work;
  • create interactive environments that enhance the learning experience;
  • present original, thought-provoking content that is relevant to the work people are doing right now; and
  • leave audiences inspired and smarter than they were before.
