AN HOUR OR LESS

  • Follow and post comments OGR’s social media pages including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn; share OGR posts on your own social media sites
  • Actively participate in OGR’s members-only Facebook page or the OGR Member Forum
  • Post a job with your company to colleagues on the OGR Job Bank
  • Write a testimonial for use in OGR promotional materials
  • Participate in a round table discussion or webinar
  • Read the OGR biweekly insights e-newsletter and share ideas for future content

ONE TIME

ONCE A MONTH, OR ONCE A QUARTER

  • Serve as an OGR Ambassador by welcoming new OGR members with a phone call or email
  • Participate on one of OGR’s standing committees:
    • Membership – provide members with meaningful services, programs and other benefits
    • Professional Development – provide members with excellent education and networking opportunities
    • Finance – provide oversight of the finances, investment and annual review of OGR and its supplier network
    • Young Professionals Council  networking and learning opportunities for emerging leaders in the funeral profession
    • OGR Foundation Board  raises funds to provide scholarships to mortuary school students
    • Study Groups – exchange ideas, tackle issues and learn from your peers
    • Assist in securing auction items for the OGR Foundation annual silent auction

ONCE A QUARTER, TWO-YEAR COMMITMENT 

Open to a longer-term commitment? Run for an at-large seat on OGR's Board of Directors to help guide the overall strategic direction of the association. While all other opportunities on this page can be accessed through the "Get Involved Today" button links, please click here if you are interested in serving on the Board. NOTE: The deadline to submit your name to be on the ballot is 11:59 p.m. EST Tuesday, Dec. 7.

NOTE: As a U.S.-based association, all discussions and actions taken by OGR and its committees are bound by U.S. antitrust laws, meaning you cannot discuss prices or methods of setting prices, activities that inhibit free trade, barriers to membership or any other topics that may be perceived as violating antitrust regulations set by the U.S. Fair Trade Commission.
