Check out the new and improved Family Contact Survey Program
OGR’s most used member benefit is the Family Contact Survey Program. For years members have relied on the honest feedback they receive from the families they serve through this program. In 2023 this program has been updated to provide better information to you and make it simpler for the families you serve to fill out the survey.
Not everything is changing as the Exemplary Service Awards program remains the same and will be awarded at OGR’s annual conference in May. Plus, Above and Beyond positive family testimonials will continue to be shared in The Independent® magazine and in social media posts that you can share.
“Our favorite part of the program is when families write additional comments,” said Veronica Weymouth of Weymouth Funeral Home in Newport News, Virginia. “It’s amazing how many people actually take time out of their day to give their honest feedback.”
The survey is now a four-question survey that can be answered in less than 5 minutes. This shorter format will lead to more returned responses. Within those 4 questions are sub-questions focused on how your staff performed, merchandise options, how well the visitation and funerals met their expectations and more. Questions regarding streaming of the service and veterans’ honors have been added.
Surveys can easily be filled out online providing you with faster access to responses. OGR has already templated the email request and will link your template directly to your funeral home’s survey. Additionally, a Google review request linked to your Google review page is available to help your funeral home increase their positive feedback on the internet.
All of this is a free member benefit, so if you are not already doing a post-service survey now is the time to get started! Contact Membership Director Nancy Weil at 800.637.8030 or [email protected], or visit us online at OGR.org/Family-Contact to learn more.
