Each year, OGR recognizes funeral service professionals and their firms for the ways they serve their client families and communities. We typically announce the winners for each of OGR’s awards at the Annual Conference & Solution Center in April.

While we cannot gather together in person this year, we believe it is more important than ever to acknowledge all the good OGR members accomplished in 2019.

OGR is proud to recognize the following members for excelling in outstanding community service, compassion, and volunteerism as part of this year’s 2020 Professional Service Awards.

Golden Light | Golden Rule Community Service | Exemplary Service | Scholarships

Golden Light Award Winner

In 2002, OGR instituted its most prestigious award, the Golden Light Award, to salute professional excellence exemplified by individual members who have inspired others by their commitment to service. This year’s winner has distinguished himself in the funeral profession through OGR involvement, community service, and volunteer activities that demonstrate "service measured not by gold, but by the Golden Rule."

Congratulations to Peter “Skip” Urban of Anton B. Urban Funeral Home in Ambler, PA!
